You may ask yourself how come when I go to a nice bar is their dirty martini tastier than the one I can make at home. It's simple, it's the olive juice. If you want to make the best dirty martini ever than follow these simple steps. First, you need a quality vodka. I choose Ketel one vodka for all my vodka drinks. Then you will need the right kind of olive juice. I only use spanish olive juice straight out of the jar. The pre-mix olive juices sold at liquor stores is crap. The little jar of olives has no taste. If you really want to taste the best, than get a big jar of Spanish queen olives with the pimento's. First, add 3 ounces of Ketel one vodka to your martini shaker and pack with ice. Then add an ounce of olive juice straight out of the jar and shake vigorously for thirty seconds. Pour into a chilled martini glass and garnish with three olives. I like to stuff mine with bleu cheese but you can do it any way you like. It's that simple. Do not add vermouth at any time. Dry vermouth ruins a perfectly good martini. I have been making martini's for 15 years and I have never used vermouth. You can use less or more olive juice depending how dirty you want to be. The more you add the saltier it will taste so be careful. American Idol is rigged, the final five are being played and so is America

Elise Testone is eliminated from American Idol which came as no surprise. My problem that I have always had with American Idol is that I think it is rigged. As I stated in last weeks blog the show is rigged to make millions by putting certain singers in the bottom three. Last week I thought that Joshua or Skylar would be put in the bottom three to ensure that the country vote or the minority vote would come out this week. Skylar was put in the bottom three and now this week the country vote will catapult her to the top. If things go as I believe they will then this week Joshua will be put at risk to get the minority vote push for this weeks show. Now that we are down to the final five it is time for Phillip Phillips to get his turn in the bottom three. I really believe that to ensure that the show makes more money, Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips will land near the bottom. America is being played by the producers. There is no way that Phillip Phillips is the top three singers in this competition. I know this show is not only about singing but also about performing. The best singers on this show are Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Skylar Lane in my opinion. However, just being the best singer does not always win this show. The producers know that to garner as many votes as possible and make millions more they need to piss America off. So I fully expect Joshua and Phillip to be in the bottom three. The producers know that if they put these two in the bottom three the minority vote and the teenage female vote will come out in droves. So, I know that I have predicted the last two weeks pretty closely to what actually happened. Now, let's see if my theory is true. Holli Cavanaugh has been near the bottom every week so I expect she will be the third in the bottom three with Joshua and Phillip. Holli will garner the teenage boy vote which will leave Jessica and Skylar as the top two singers left. I would like to see the best singer win this competition but if it's not profitable for the show then the American Idol winner might not be the best singer. So who is the next to go? I really think Phillip Phillips will be voted off this week. Let's see if I am right and we will see how the rest of the season plays out. I know that it is each person's opinion about who they think is the best. So this is just my opinion and if you disagree then let me know what you think will happen and we will see who is right. American Idol is rigged but we never rip you off when you want a watch at a great price.
